just had a quote to do service on the csl im looking at.
inspection 2
1500 quid!!!!!
im shocked.
any way to avoid this? will going to a dealer outside of dealer network effect resale price

Shop around you'll get it cheaper, try murkets or Elms.
Going outside dealer network shouldn 't affect value but might exclude the fussy types from buying. Or use the money you save to sell your car cheaper than the rest, will fly out the door

Remember that you cannot put a warranty on a car if it has been serviced outside of the dealer network.
Ring around, would expect to be able to get insp 2 done for a lot less than that!

Cooper in Reading were £750-800 when I last had an InspII on an E46 M3. Other local franchises were £200-300 more at the time.

Elms Cambridge ( cambourne ) , speak to Emma to book it in around £799 for inspection 2 you can then have me Gareth do it for you ( 7 years experiance of maintaining / servicing CSL,s ) . Other members can prove i do a good job . Will soon be having open day for all you guys waiting to get front of house fully staffed .

Elms Cambridge ( cambourne ) , speak to Emma to book it in around £799 for inspection 2 you can then have me Gareth do it for you ( 7 years experiance of maintaining / servicing CSL,s ) . Other members can prove i do a good job . Will soon be having open day for all you guys waiting to get front of house fully staffed .

:hahaha: £150 that is true but come on tell the whole story it was bacause you had new engine and was it diff aswell all bits were new so not much was left to do . As for 1975 i wasnt born then :blalalala: tho with the wife and kids feel alot older :banghead: .

yep
did a deal as it seemed stupid to do a insp2 when engine had done 0miles so apparently (I was told) you just did non engine stuff like change the pollen filter and spend 20 minutes ragging up and down the A14 :)
(just kidding about the A 14, I think)

Thanks for posting Gareth :thumbs: while we are on the subject, would you mind posting what you charge for an inspection I? mine is due one in a about 3.5k so just checking $$ :thumbs: and also how come they come round so fookin quickly :bigcry:
