A few pics of the big old X at Anglesey, we seem to have it working a treat and it was flying. According to the drift lads who were timing I was the fastest out on track, so its all good so far.

It was a completely different driving style needed than the CSL and rwd in general, but I finally adapted towards the end of the day.

The reason I have kept it was it was going to be far too much hassle putting back to standard. So I am going to use it and if I do decide to sell I will sell as is.

I am actually beginning to like and understand it. Just need to alter my geo now to a more aggressive set-up. :smokin:

See you on track soon guys.

Thanks Shim,

Its weird to get your head round the way you drive them.
Better in some corners than CSL, but worse in others.

Different tool doing the same job. Mid corner you can floor it and it just grips through, strange as in CSL you would still be modulating throttle. As I say strange to get head round at first. Best way to drive it is with foot to floor as much as possible.

I was watching the Scoobies and Evos today at the Sprint and they didn't seem to do that very well and were producing far too much understeer,

Yeh they can and do understeer a bit:banghead:, I was driving round some on track who were understeering like bitches, but I was gripping. I think if you have a slight understanding of driving you can get the best out of them.

Problem with the evos is that they make a shit driver seem ok, but when they need to step up a gear they cant. Most think they are the best driver in the world because the evo hides their inadequacies behind the wheel.

If you keep it smooth and neat they are fine, get a bit out of shape and its understeer city. But can still be quite quick.

A few sprint records are held by evos, so with the right driver they can be pretty good.

265 35 18 all round John.

Running approx 450 bhp 450 lbft now.
Power wise she is superb, got to try a more aggressive set-up now and a few different set-ups to see which works best.

But happy so far. Ill let you know when I'm out next, I'll take you out.

Thats what I noticed Mark, checking my tyre temps showed I can run far more camber. Far far too hot on outsides.

Slicks are a maybe, but most times I just like to arrive and drive, tbh I got rid of 90% of the understeer by adapting my driving style. I had some great 4 wheel drifts

Next job is to alter geo quite a bit.

The evo does not have the handeling of the csl but it can make up for it
if driven right i am about 4 sec a lap faster round the hill than in the csl
but i think some of that is the evo is not 30k

But the money i have spent on it its heading that way :hahaha::hahaha::hahaha:

550Bhp is not cheap but dont tell the wife

KW clubsports Dunc, If I was on standard suspension the doors would be scraping the floor.

Cant be bothered caging it, but I will be using slicks at some point.
