Hi to all,
Just pick up my CSL yesterday from Oxford :smt055
This is the car http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3130344.htm
Fantastic drive back home.
I decided to put my SRT 10 Viper for sale and buy a CSL as i felt it was more me if that makes sence.
Strangely the car brings me the same sensations as a 205 GTI 1.9 i had bought in 1994. A bucket of fun :smt003 .
The car will be mainly for pure enjoyement, light track days and runs to the lakes on nice days.
Upgrades to come (New Sport cups, and AP Racing brakes if i find them in second hand).
The car seems in top condition apart from The Engine/Emission light who is on. The owner explained that it is a commen fault who can happen depending the quality of petrol you use.
The car just had it's Inspection II and was showing no alerts.
I hope that's right. The owner seemed very genuine.
Hope to meet some of you. Probably at Oulton park as near to me.
Thanks.
Eduardo.
(PS, if you fancy a Viper let me know )

Congratulations on your purchase. Looks like a very well looked after car :) And, of course, the BEST colour ;)
Must admit, I haven't heard of the Engine/Emission light problem but then I don't read too much of the technical posts so it may have been mentioned before. Luckily it hasn't happened to me over the last 7 years.
Enjoy! I am sure you will :supz:
Edited, I was curious about the light and found this post? May put your mind at rest

welcome mate. if your looking for an independant specialist in the north west look no further than darren woods in bredbury stockport i use these for all my non warranty work. the two guys that run it mike and darren have served 18 years as bmw tecs and know there M3`s inside out both are enthusiast`s aswell which always helps. the only main dealer i use is blue bell in wilmslow which i was at today after having two new springs fitted on the rear under warranty. hope this helps and enjoy the car even though its the slower colour. ;)

Hiya Eduardo, my light came on a few months ago, then switched off again. I believe it takes 3 start-ups to clear the fault lights if there is no longer a problem?
However, about a month ago the light came back on, and mine turned out to be a faulty lambda sensor. Got replaced last week and has been fine since

When cold, I tend to keep it in a low shift setting until the gearbox oils have a chance to warm up properly. I also tend to back off the throttle slightly to get a smoother gear change
Some great roads around the North West. I've been across the Ormskirk - Burscough - Southport road quite a few times (think it's called The Moss?), although not in the CSL. Love the Cat & Fiddle too, especially very early in the morning when you'd only see the odd biker and something like a Focus RS out on the road

I do, i do
I have noticed you are not on sport cups. Did you use just PS2/3 on track?
Not sure what to do :banghead: £1300 for Sports cups:bigcry: or going for super sport.
Not using it as a every day car but for lake runs and light track (may be 3 a year and Spa again)
