Well decided to part with my e46 m3 vert for many reasons, missis is pregnant and the market for m3 is shocking at the moment to name a couple.
This time i fancied a change, something different, so decided on a fast road/sprint project.
I'm sure many have seen and commented on this car before, lots of work to do and I'll be asking for lots of advice ( shouldn't be a problem on here:thumbs: ) so please get your cameras ready so I can mirror things.
Anyway enough talking here's a pic or 2 :

On the contrary - i think it will be great once sorted but the wiring issue would be my worry and the potential gremlins that could emerge!

Well it's had a new loom from a standard m so there's wires everywhere. Tbh I'm not happy with it, just looks a mess so on the look out for a genuine csl loom. Don't mind fitting the jigsaw myself ( that all it appears to be anyway ) just want it perfect

Good project. I'd turn it into a proper road registered track slag. I'd think your definately better off with CSL loom. So much different to normal M3 that it would be a real ball ache converting one. Nathans offer is the way to go.:smokin:
Best of luck and well done for taking it on.

I was considering this car pretty much for the same purpose. Wasn't worth the £14800 though esp as CATD too. Go on tell me you stole it

Patience and time - it will come good in the end. If you do it right first time, you'll only need to do it once. Best of luck, I'm sure you'll be happy once your nailing around a circuit!

I'm off Friday, I just want to get the loom out of the 1 tonne bag its stuffed into now (yes, theres a lot of wires) boxed and weighed before finding out postage is more than the price I gave you.
Don't worry its not advertised anywhere else, I'm just a little busy with holidays and work this week.

Cheers mate, second fire wasn't actually a fire it just smoldered as it had a cover on so no oxygen to burn. I was execting a wreck tbh but its not bad at all more smoke damage than anything. I'm happy with it anyway.

20.6kg in interior wiring, fuse box and other odds and sods. No main positive wire or engine loom so guess theres an extre kg or two to add.

Yeh, that was just the wiring so theres still all the bits the wiring plugs into like temp sensors, airbag sensors, airbag module, interior lights, infact I have all these useless bits kicking about too.
Codling - How bad was the fire, which area was effected? I might have some sensors you may need?
Codling
24-08-2011, 04:27 PM
Fire wasn't that bad but until I get the loom I'm not sure what's missing as the loom that's been bodged in atm is from a normal e46 m so there's excess plugs everywere. If I take some pics of any spare plugs an post them on here will you be able to tell and sell me what I need matey ?
