I think I read somewhere that SG was a BMW motorsport colour, but was there a particular reason why these colours and why only these ?

Remember the Steel Grey (or very similiar) Prototype CSLs back in 2002? Guess they've all been squashed now :hahaha:

Silver is apparently a German race colour. Not sure about the black ones though..... why would anyone buy a slower car.. blah blah blah :whistle: ?

The CSL was too fast for other colours they all ran off and BMW gave up :hahaha:
Or was it they wanted the CSL to look as hard as nails

M3 CSL concept first appeared in Geneva, 2000.

Yeah but I didn't mean the concept, I meant the protos that were shown off to journalists at a track, with their reports appearing in several magazines. These were the darker (possibly Steel) grey cars :thumbs:
