What you want to know?

I owned one for around 5 months then got swapped for an EP3 Civic.

I have a 2008 White 197 Cup Full Fat with every optional extra fitted that I use day to day. Great little ca but will be for sale in a few weeks as going for a R26R. If you are interested send me a pm. Will send you the full details and

What was your general impressions of it?
Hard Ride? Good point/ bad points?

Was my daily ride, very hard ride and quite thirsty for the engine size. Handling was amazing but power in the 197 let it down, thats why they brought out the 200 which has better low end torque. Good looking motor but didn't have enough poke for my liking. When buying watch out for the recaro seats as they are poorly made. Bolsters go in no time

Cheers for the low down. I can believe they'll feel a little underpowered. I think the handling of the 197 Cup is its main selling point, you cant expect too much from a N/A 16v 2L.

Did yours have the Gear Ratio update?

Would this have not been covered on Warranty?

Looks like RENAULT Warranty ends at the gates of the dealership as you drive away :banghead: ;) ... unless a dog took a couple of bites out of that seat :whistle:

No wonder their seats have worn if they cant even be arsed to run a hoover over the floor... :banghead: Shows the type of owner imo.

My other half has a 200 Cup with Recaros, shes done 8k and seats are showing no signs of wear. Just need to be carefull getting in/out

Ive heard its a common fault and some dealers have replaced under warranty when put under preasure. Others refused. Depends on the dealer I suppose. God help you if you have to speak to a dealer about a claim, My experience of them is they are complete shite. When I had an R26.R my dealer tried to say I had come to the wrong dealership as they hadnt heard of the .R .....they had a stand full of brochures in the main entrance. :banghead:

Its a shame really beacuse their cars are awsome to drive.
