I seem to remember hearing of someone running into a wall, head on. Thought this might be your car appearing,
Ebay Link (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-BMW-M3-CSL-3-2-Sequential-3-door-coupe-360-BHP-/170664549000?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27bc665a88#ht_1733wt_1139)
£13K isn't a bad price at all, for a track car or the likes.

Good stuff, send him our way for with progress reports. I'm sure GP might like to see her ressurected...

Another one soon to be seen on PH advertised for 25K with "unfortunately listed as Cat D due to light front damage".

Hmmm not so sure Baz,
I was talking with Simon (GP) about buying it along with another member on here (Nigelonich) before the insurance got hold of it and he was saying it had sustained some very bad underside damage along with smashing the sump
Unfortunately outnumbered is probably correct in what he is saying.

Might be useful if GP could publish the VIN so "just in case" the car pops up in future, there'll be a public record.
On the subject of Cat D cars, M3 YJC (that's been hanging around for months and months) on Pistonheads claims to be sold now.

I don't think this one will be advertised like that.
The chap who's bought it, i've known a very long time, he's planning to restore it to it's former glory (if it's possible) and keep her, he's got no plans to buy and then try and pass it on as a minter.
If its not financially prudent to get it back on the road in a decent shape, he's going to break the car.

It already looks pretty broken ;) But glad to hear he's an honest bloke.

Unfortunately outnumbered is probably correct in what he is saying.Under warranty that would have been a new engine most probably!!
