Everything go OK at Simpsons today Rob?. Shame we couldn't have met up.
So the long drive home should have given you a good idea of how your upgrades perform.....whats your thoughts?
What you had done!!!???

Hi mate,
Yeah, all went very well thanks. I had the RTAB limiters fitted, brake fluid replaced and geo done in just over 2 hours. I didn't get the chance to throw the car round too much on the way back but i did think it felt more settled at the back when i did try and provoke it...! I'm looking forward to feeling the improvement on track this weekend. :-D
The guys at Simpson are top blokes and could'nt have been more friendly and helpful. I spoke at length to Anthony about brake and suspension upgrade options. Unfortunately it was found that my brake pads all round are near worn so i have ordered a full AP race brake kit for fitting next month. Anthony even dug out an old set of part-worn CSL pads to take to the Ring just in case i get caught short out there! Like i said - top blokes! :smt023
Whilst there they were more than happy for me to bimble around the garage and look at the cars there and even take a few photos! There were 4 other SG CSLs in for upgrades including some ESS Superchargers (one 700+ bhp!), an old E30 M3 racer, Audi RS4 racer, 3 Ferarri F40/F50 as well as an awesome E46 GTR racer that was featured in a BMW magazine recently. I certainly wasn't bored whilst waiting! I took a few pics on my old camera but can't download them til the weekend as my laptop doesn't have the right card reader :bigcry:
All in all, i can't recommend Simpson highly enough

Agreed, every time I see a supercharged CSL I think that it is such a waste, surely do it to a standard E46 M3.

Would agree also...air box ia one of the distictive features on the CSL.

Is that a V8 M3 GTR or one of their own based on a road car?
There was similar car with the same GT Cup decals at Brands testing with us earlier this week, a wheel fell off it! :smt011

Thats odd as I was quoted the limit kit at £85, new bushes at £15.84 each and it takes about 1.5 hrs (£60 an hour) with a full geo...plus VAT...a bit more than £170....did you have the bushes? Even without it's a bit more than what you manage to get....plus the brake fluid oil is 8.50 x 3....so I would say they gave you a good deal compaired to what they have quoted me.

I'm not sure mate, i think it's a straight six? I saw it in a recent Performance BMW magazine or equivalent whilst i was there. It does look the nuts though with its massive WTCC'esque spoiler! :-D

I didn't need new bushes as mine were in good shape. I'm in Germany now so don't have the bill to hand but i'm pretty sure they charged £50 labour. I only needed 2 x brake fluid oil also...
I had booked several weeks prior but due to admin misunderstandings in their office they weren't actually expecting me when i turned up! To their credit they slotted my car in fine so maybe i got a decent labour rate due to the cock-up? They were spot on regardless

Yep they did charge £50 an hour but this went up to £60 on 1st Oct....Sounds like you got yourselves a good deal because of the mess up...
