Hi,
I bought my CSL 2weeks ago and after warming the car up properly I noticed that if I drive it hard in 1st, just before it gets to 8000rpm all the amber and red lights on the rev counter lights up and as soon as I go to 2nd they go away. I had a couple of E46 M3's and they never did that, is this normal on a CSL or did they guy before me do something to the computer mapping??

Yes it was manual, does this happen in every gear or just 1 and 2nd?

Just out of interest Niel, what would one pay for a CSL in SA, and are there still import duty's on cars the age of a CSL?
thanks in advance
BTW glad you're loving your car, i still am after 4 years of ownership, never kept a car longer than a year before:supz:.

I dont know too much about the import duty's because this was one of the 65 sold through BMW SA but I paid R390000 which equates to about £35000 and its been the going rate for the last 4 years. A normal M3 for the same year sells for around 250k
I can see myself driving the CSL for a while, its the ultimate BMW
