Hi guys just a quick check.
The new car is going in tommorrow to try and persuade the dealer that they should be giving me a new Backbox as the clamping brack is cracked and giving a slight rattle when cold and Iv'e also noticed the rear seems to be moving around a little so will be checking out the rtab at the same time.
The dealer has said the technician will take a look undeneath the motor with me so is there anything else I should be just taking a little look at for any possible warranty work whilst I'm there.
The car all seems good apart from this and has just clocked up 34k.
Thanks in advance Matty.

Seals around the diff weep a little but they will check this as its a common thing. Get them to check the subframe mountings as well whilst they are at it.

Well one spring broken warranty, and rtab's starting to go but will not replace under warranty.
Seems a bit of a grey area this one as some have and some aint but im hoping the spring may be the reason for feeling a little loose at the back... but more realistically the bushes.
limiter kit due I think.
There contacting the powers to be about the exhaust so i'll keep my fingers crossed as I believe the clamps shouldn't snap at 34k

I think the warranty claims assessors look at age as a factor more often these days - the CSL is almost 8 years old of course...

Dropped mine off today at Sytner - wrote a detailed list of things to be checked
Think I have a oil leak in the engine area, as the car had KDS done on saturday and there was some oil on the black guard, been told that it may not be covered under warranty which I was a bit shocked about - obviously down to a split pipe or gasket etc, and he even said on certain parts of the gasket are not covered.....
Asked them to check my diff aswell and the rear drivers side wheel as it is slightly locked up you needed to use two hands and some force to turn it so I think it could be down to a seized caliper which has probably now warped my new rear discs.....
I hope I havent wasted my cash for this warranty......

Murketts turned down my claim for back box clamps, ....I didnt complain , fitted the SS from Shimmys used parts Inc,. and did the clamp repair myself, as per. Pauls rstoughy thread. OEM box is still ok, but before anyone ask, I will hang onto it, the weight of it, it will weigh in as scrap and earn good money ! :hahaha:

Well got the call from Dean @ Sytner, and they have advised the following;
Front NS Wishbone has play and has been replaced
New Oxygen Sensor
New Inlet Manifold actuator or something (cant remember his exact words)
Rear wheel issue was first down to the handbrake shoes which is not covered under warranty. But last night he called me at 6pm and advsied it was a sticking caliper which has warped the disc, so they are replacing the caliper and disc under warranty, I only have to pay for the other side disc, pads come in pairs so don't need to pay for it.
Oil leak is being cleaned today and then they are identifying the key issue
So happy days for me

They have asked for the thickness of the discs, so they seem quite tight with replacing them.
I will try and push this..... ideally I think both sides should be done, cause its quite silly replacing one and leaving a half worn on the other side.
