Just watched this - some good footage, recommended.
Didn't realise the Prost relationship had degraded so badly in the final year at Mac and Prosts first year at Ferrari.
Quite eerie seeing the imola weekend unseen before footage of Senna / Ratzenburger knowing what was going to happen - and Senna reaction to watching medics attempt to revive Ratzenburger on TV in the garage.
Very sad, lump in throat viewing at the end.
True legend !

Wouldn't mind seeing this myself, not sure I have the time tbh.
Is it any good for non Senna/motor racing fan?

I believe their is a copy doing th rounds with extra footage spliced into original cut, perhaps this is what you chaps watched? UK cinema listings are for 1hr45m.

Aye, after further investigation there are two "official" versions from the blu ray.
The 1hr45 version is the theatrical cut. The longer 2hr45 is the extended "directors" cut with additional interviews but mostly talking heads.
It seems the theatrical flows better for non car nuts, but if you are enthusiast the longer is worth the time as well.

I saw the opening night screening at the Curzon Soho. Insert your own Soho joke here.
Very interesting evening - there was a Q&A with the writer and director afterwards.
The movie itself is unmissable if you're an F1 fan of a certain age (as I am), having watched Senna's races at the time. My wife was also gripped by it - I won't say enjoyed because it's the Imola footage is painful to watch, so we both found the last 40 mins pretty gruelling.
Cheers, Richard.
