I searched around the forum about battery light posts, but they dont really match.
the car is 25k on the clock, i had battery light flashing after 5k rpm, had it checked, i asked them to check the ALT, but they said the output of the ALT are fine, so they didnt change it, had the oem battery replaced, but the same problem still exist. anyone know if i should replace the ALT since the output are nearly 14volt.
Please advice.
thanks

Faulty voltage reg on alternator.
Change alternator, or if under warranty get them to change it for you.

i spoke to my garage about the Alternator fault, and i said that i want that to be replaced, but he measured the output of the alternator, and it was perfectly fine, any explain to that please?
many thanks

If you had any battery light while driving, believe me it's on the way out. May well have tested OK but be sure to change alternator before it lets you down. They are known to go like this.

When the garage measured the output of the alternator did they put all the lights, A/C., wipers, etc., ON to check it under full electrical load ?
My CSL is on it's 3rd Alternator :smokin: and last time it was changed (under BMW Warranty) I had the same symptoms as yours prior it's failure :clown:
