Hia :)
Just thought i'd say hello - I'm part-exing my M3 for a silver/grey 53plate CSL this evening @ 5pm - cant wait! Just got a couple of quickies if you dont mind :
1. Stone chips on roof - i noticed theres a couple of stone chips, do i just touch them in with a little clear lacquer?
2. Stone chips on front carbon corners - supplying dealer says its a special coat and simply cannot be re-lacquered - is that right? On the Mitsubishi Evo's is possible to re-laquer the carbon spoilers so would have thought it would be just as easy on the CSL??
Already bought some harnesses, will be getting the geometry checked a.s.a.p then out for some fun! Do i remove the bolts in the front struts to get more camber or is it only really needed for track work?
Roll on 5pm!!!

Hi Rich,
The roof can be re Done at a good body shop, or like you say just touch them up so they dont get any worse.
Same with the Carbon front splitters, but you could buy new from BMW then have the paint protected.
1st main mod should be a rear limiter kit on the rear arms!
This will transform the car mate. Have a search on here and you will find all the info!
When you off to the ring next buddy?
Look forward to hearing your views over the CSL from the EVO!
Both of us coming from High BHP 9 Gt's! :-D
Cheers si

Alright guys
I've done a search and looks easy enough to do the front carbon panels - think i'll have a go myself, bit of fine emery and nice warm garage ;) The roof is literally a couple of chips, so will simply use normal lacquer from my halfrauds touch up pen.
Its all abit of a surprise to be fair to be picking her up - went to look at a black CSL that had been recommended on M-Torque, with a view to getting a price for my M3, pure curiosity really, no intention of buying - ending up buy this silver/grey one! (the black had been very badly painted both sides and IMO was over priced for that reason ... had it not been painted would have got it).
Test drive was steady away, initial feelings good - nice firm ride, sharper and lighter all over, including steering (normal M3 is like steering through treacle) - everything that M3 should be i guess! Proper seats too! Never could get comfy in the M3 ones for some reason?! Oh, and dont mention The Noise!!! :smt055
The 8 pot K-Sport BBK (6 pot rear!) and exhaust clinched the deal saving me a few grand :blalalala:
Will take a look at the rear limiter kit but i've got a very comprehensive warranty ... the vanos went on the old M3 after 3 weeks costing £2.5k so slight cautious now, we'll see :hahaha:
Now theres a thought - is it alright to use the steering wheel without gloves or does it spoil the finish? I once got told to always wear gloves with suede(?) steering wheels?!
