View Full Version : Numbered Registry?

Are there any forum databases out there that give a brief history of specific CSL's? Something like the Build number and the member that had it etc? Apologies if I've completely missed it or if it's a common question that's asked.

Bit stalkerish I know, ha. Just because there's a few I've been looking at over the past couple months and it's sometimes a struggle finding a little bit of history. Have owned a couple of Mini GP's and it was pretty handy referencing to their database when buying the cars.

Cheers!

Sadly, CSLs were not numbered individually - each UK registered car was simply 'one of 422'.

Member 'shimmy' does keep a database of sorts as he's a nerd and clearly has a little too much time on his hands... :bigcry: :hahaha:

Its always worth asking about individual cars as you look at them as the odds are that someone on here has some info about it, history, etc.

Sorry folks! Thought I set up an email notification system on here but guess not ha.

Thanks for all the advice. Will get on the case and keep looking. Sadly might have to hold it off until next year though due to being 21 at the moment, 22 in February which would bring the insurance costs down nicely. I can get insured on an E46 base M3 without a hitch, though the CSL demands almost £1000 extra in insurance costs!

Cheers :)

Same ere. First year I had was cheapest and then on it went up even with no claims bonus and age clocking up. Reason being, insurance has shot up and Insurance companies have become increasingly stricter. Although this year Im chuffed with my find.
