Just had a look at this one, first time driving a CSL, was very very impressive I have to say. Had driven M3s and a M3 CS before but the CSL was another level altogether.
might there be anything at all one should know about the car?

Yes, it is all getting a bit cloak and dagger here.... too many nods and winks (yes spelt correctly).... incomprehensible TLAs and implied information and moreover in danger of getting cliquey. All that and then on top of that there is the bloomin' m#n train.

can someone please spill the beans on this car please?
if there something to be said, can it be said?
in a market as narrow as this, people need to know the score with cars with stories surely..
cant think of anything worse, buying a marque for 30k ish and then finding out afterwards there is/was a story..would kind of ruin the ownership experience for me.
speak up gaylords!

just a few further thoughts for anyone else who goes to see the car if it helps..
Drove really well as I said earlier, very impressive but it was the first CSL I had ever driven so did not have another to compare it against.
However, the car does need some work, some minor some a bit less so. Badges and door sills were showing signs of wear, door sills a bit more worn than expected. The car needs an oil service and the air intake flap needs to be fixed but I've read that happens quite regularly amongst CSLs. Alcantara seat linings were in good nick but the wheel was rather less so and the passenger seat had some scratches at the back. Slightly more of an issue and perhaps I am merely being picky was that the car had Toyo fronts / Bridgestone rears and the windscreen does need replacing.
To be fair, Nick had no issue offering to sort out the bulk of the work within any agreed sale price and did come across as a proper car enthusiast.

Did you not notice that the car has had a front end paint job that IMO is average at best in quality, did not got to view this car, but saw it from the outside whilst there. Did not look like £31k car to me from what I saw, definately agree with Shimmy's post earlier on in this thread.
MEGA BUMP...Any of you chaps got any info about this car? Thread all seems a bit cryptic to me :119:
Can you PM me if there's anything *special* about it :)

I've read through this thread and I've not a clue what's going on. Even the chaps at Bletchley Park would be left scratching their heads.
More like "Wind Breakers" Pip, all hot air and not much sense, even shimmy "Keeper of the Knowledge" :notworthy: is left high and dry :119:
