The car is running great..
Just occasionally , if I short shift the car I get a pause (maybe a second) almost like its changing cam or something..
But wondered if it was the throttle sensor since on full chat the car is great.
Any ideas ?

I had it a couple of times at the Ring when i accidentally caught the SMG gear lever (causing a short shift to 3rd) after i left the start cones whilst searching for the leccy windows switch...! The car sort of 'pauses' as if you have surprised it and then gets back on with things as normal. Had no problems since the event.

I get a pause, but usually when come to a stop between 2nd and 1st then pulling of again......this is when the change up gear number flashes for a second.
If the flap isn't working will you not get that surge when you press the start button though?
You always seem to post bloody early andy!
I get some stutter sometimes but I really do thinks it the Shell V Power, tesco 99RON doesnt do it!

Why doesn't everyone get up at 05:00......No matter what day it is I'm always up around 05:30ish. I get a few hours me time before the hooligan and wife gets up.

The 'surge' when selecting SPORT is down to the sudden throttle mapping change, so will occur (providing you're at low enough throttle opening) even if the flap doesn't work.

I should have been clearer in my initial post.
The 'hiccup' that I get is when I short shift at 3-3.5k revs. ie 2nd-3rd or 3rd-4th.
I suspect 'they all do that' as its on the borderline of the torque curve for the next gear.
So - I suppose its not hesitation as such, more a computer pause deciding how to fuel the car in an odd situation ?

Ah right...so the only way to know if the flap is stuck is to get someone to look whilst you rev is it?

If it's stuck then you can tell... from feel (performance does suffer) and from lack of noise. Remember 'the flap' is only related to the SPORT button in relation to the point in the rev range at which it opens (3,500 ON or 6,000ish OFF)
To test the flap it's best to stick SPORT ON and check it when idle as you say (with a mate)

Cheers. Pretty sure it's OK, but a point for the future.
