Jesus mate, you're not having a good time of it. You might find someone 'might' have some pads with them, but at the 'Ring I'd doubt it. Some people take pads to TD's with them in case they need them, 'just to get home', worth a pop.

Call Ian at carbo tech, he has supplied me them so he will know the shape.

Right boys, thanks for the help all is sorted now...

Nowhere had Super Sports so I had to buy 2 ps2's from Tommy who sorted me out. Rubbish and costly but I didn't really have a choice :(

As for pads, tommy checked them and said that they'll probably be ok for the 3 days I'm here. Awesome :)

Anyway, got a few laps in today and I can confirm that Super Sports have Loads more grip on track as all I'm getting is understreer without even a suggestion of oversteer.

Good to see you're Ok-ish. Moral of the story is to always keep a full set of pads with you on trackday/ring trips. Ideally discs as well. For the greatest track in the world, the local car resources are amazingly sparse.

Discs last 15 track days, carrying a spare is a bit oTT IMHO, you are more likely to need a clutch and a front wishbone ;)

Pads only really needed if your are close to dead as they can do 700-900 miles on track, 4 track days, but if like me you use all the pad it's worth a spare:smt055

A fair point, but I've heard enough stories about people who crack a disc well before its "time" that I'd always carry the spares.

Anyhow, each to his own. When i notice a cracked disc or pad which has fallen to bits and I'm 400 miles from home, I'll grin when I pull out my spare :)
