Why hello old women.... I figured it wouldn't take long to get a mention here, saves me posting a for sale ad.
I don't agree it's better to say nothing... I'm not going to pretend the car has never been on track or any of that bollocks, but I maintain that the Car has not had a lot of track use, I stand by that statement and it's also had more regular maintenance than a lot of cars out there - I had it on track 5 or 6 times between 2006 & 2010. Donington once, Silverstone once, Bedford once and a few times at Brands Hatch and that was mostly back in 2006 before I started racing. Most of the mileage no the car was done by me driving to/from race weekends on 2007/2008/2009
I had a deal with BMsport and they maintained the car for free in return for me carrying the BMsport livery to promote their business and the racing. Given the servicing was free there wasn't much incentive for me to skimp.
Kenny who bought the car off me in early 2010 has spent couple of thousand pounds on it himself and has not used it on track very much. It's now my car again, he just bought my tango GT3RS off me and I took this back in part-ex. I don't want to go back to a CSL, I've got other toys now so I'm just sticking her straight up for sale.
Pictures speak for themselves and anyone who's seen this car in the flesh will vouch for condition (as some on here already have). Backdraft Motorsport & ETA Motorsport have both seen the car recently and can vouch for it.

Cheers Tom, you know how we gossip if we dont get the full facts.
Good luck with the sale. I sat in the back once on the way to the train station after dropping my car off at BMSport and it seemed a good condition car.

new member (ex owner of a black csl though) possibly looking to buy another csl. shirley the track work on this car doesn't make too much difference though? why would you buy a car with ap's, intrax, equal width rims etc if it did?
serious accident damage on the other hand, are most cars known on here?

what's random about it?
i sent the owner asking a few questions about the car with the view to making an offer. thought i'd better join up here if i was going to get another csl as the section on pistonheads seems pretty quiet these days, & low & behold here you guys are talking about it.
i read the thread (backwards as it happens-why does the thread read in reverse on here? have i got it set up wrong or something?!) & the guy who's selling says he maintains it hadn't seen a lot of track work then people started posting up pics of it on track as if to say "oh yes it has".
like i said i'm not too bothered by that, it's just nice to know what you're looking at.
by the way i would just like to say hello, i used to own a SB csl LF53YKG & loved the car while i had it so i'm thinking about having another.
cheers :)

Welcome to the Forum Craig, any photos of the old steed? Maybe someone know's your car, or indeed owns it over here.
Yes, there's alot of info on most of the CSL in the UK and further afield on here. There's a few posts of guys asking about this car here, and that car there and most times they'll get an answer from someone, although not always a sensible one from the likes of DunCAnR or Shim, ;-)
Introduction in the Newbie section,
Good luck in the hunt, there's always Bealos car too, it's well know and as genuine as they come.

thanks baz,
was just about to upload a pic from facebook (a particulary nice shot of me passing an orig csl batmobile at le mans) but i don't know how to do it.
they are fantastic cars aren't they, think i'll have an SG one this time if i get one, but we'll have to see. i'm a 911 guy at heart but dad wants me to buy a csl again (he loved the last one & said it felt miles safer than the 911!) & you just can't argue with what you get for your money with a csl. they make a gt3 seem posatively overpriced!
still, plenty of time yet, i'm sure the right car will turn up.
