Any recommendations? I had a Clarke lightweight aluminium one but the seal went whilst jacking the car up at the ring. It has hardly been used and is only 2.5 years old. Can they be repaired? If not I am looking for a high quality lightweight one I can take in the boot of my car (max load 1.5 tonne).

currently I have a sealy one and it's great but if I was going for one again it would prob be one of these snap-on jobbies :drool:

I've had a Sealey RJA1500 for a couple of years and it's seen a fair bit of use with no issues. You really need a 1.5t jack for the M3 - ideally twin piston.

I'd say 1.5T minimum unless you are very careful with lifting just for one wheel change at a time
Cheap ones blow seals very easily
Not easy to find cheap, low entry, reliable, light, 1.5T jacks:hahaha:

Yep thats what I've got. Misses bought it as a present as well :smt055 that was when she cared of course :bigcry:

I have got one as well but they are a bit heavy for the Cardboard boot!

As the only other recommended one is not lightweight I take it this one is despite costing an arm and a leg - assuming this as it is a Snap-on????
The Clarke one was only 10kg but is clearly f#cking sh#te.

the torq one is only good for 1 tonne. I dont think its quite man enough for a csl.it would work but probably start to blow seals.;)

Why not use a standard BMW boot jack? I've always wondered why none of us do this!:smokin:

The Porsche forum seem to recommend the Torin 1.5T jack. Has anyone on here used it?
So it seems that or a (heavy) Sealey.
