Anyone else see this? VBH was mad on it and couldn't even decide between that and GT3RS:hahaha:, times seem to tell a different story though. Have I missed something?

Something doesn't add up... I too have seen times which suggest it only being marginally quicker than a CSL but judging from VBH's tone :smt055:smt055 one would assume this thing is much quicker than we've been lead to believe - certainly looks that way from the vid..

BTW i also recall the new Gayman R being slightly quicker as well - does anyone know what rubber the GTS was running for this test?

I've yet to see anyone being that impressed by M3csl e46.

Something definitely doesn't add up here in regard to race track times... CSL vs GTS.

What tyres did the GTS run on when it set 7.48 ring time?

Better chassis, much more power... how can it only be 2 seconds faster?

Probably because it weighs sooooooooo much

It looked and sounded, fucking awesome IMO

And I reckon it is slowly starting to show a bit of purpose.
It certainly looked like she was creaming her knickers driving it:smokin:

Not much more than a 1450kg CSL or whatever the real weight is.

Even being on cups +, had it been on CSL cups tyres, the time might have been low 7.40s IMO I'm not an expert on racing though. :gayfight:

]If they where both 30k which would you buy

I know the CSL wouldn't get a second glance

Regardless of times it WILL be a far superior car in every way. You can tell just from that vid that it would be an occasion every time you drive it

But for us mere poor folk the CSL is far far better for us

In what regard?!

In what regard?!

you've seen Vicky getting orgasmic, haven't you? :hahaha:

and so was Valentino if i am to believe rumours... :hahaha:

Looks aside (and i really like the e92 M3 - mini - me M6) There's no doubt GTS is vastly superior car compared to CSL. Let's not even argue about this here. Chasis, gearbox, engine, electronics!!

But you could just get the competition one and blow the other 60k on hookers when you want to feel good :smt102

I thought Pzero Corsa Race had been discontinued.

Are you sure its not the lesser Corsa System or Trofeo?

Curly ran the ones in the link om m3 iirc (off sided ones all the way round) and data logger had them same as cups. Are ones in the link the Corsa Race or is that a different one?

p zero corsa, semi slicks
I don't know all the pirelli road tyres, like i do the bike tyres, but these are semi slicks and also it's running 255 at the front and 285 at the back, so you cannot say it doesn't have proper rubber.

Still, they are not as grippy as cups tyres - are they? I don't know myself, just trying to pick your brain.

I have data from when curly ran them at oulton. Regularly showing 1.1 - 1.3gee in the corners & on't eccles, so virtually as good as may be...

I've done quite a lot of track on both the (proper) Corsas and on the Michelins and my experience is that the Michelins are faster. But the tyre manufacturers do quite often change the design of their products over the product lifespan (sometimes still keeping the product name totally unchanged. No mk2, N0, N1 or such) so the Corsas as they were made just a few years back are not necessarily the same as last years Corsas. And to make comparisons even harder they can be very different in design between different sizes. Early Corsas in only certain sizes had problems being way to weak with odd shoulder and tread wear. The carcass design was then totally redone for these size tyres but the product name was 100% unchanged.

PS:
If someone can make everything crystal clear when it comes to the Cup+ mess I'd be impressed. Different carcasses, different compounds... I haven't been able to get a proper 100% grip on the different Cup+ variants anyway....

I can't see the tyr fully on the pics but I still recon they will ne Corsa System with circumference grooves, not as good ad Corsa Race or Cups

So it's probably on "slower tyres" then... I watched Fifth Gear with VBH+GTS today. She did sound a bit enthusiastic. Sort of :hahaha:

VBH was just ever so slightly OTT in those clips!!

I like the side on view of the bonnet/bumper but the lack of any flared arches, especially at the back, doesnt make it look as good as it could have been.
