View Full Version : Warranty Direct, Anyone Using?
Hi All
Looking to get some warranty for the CSL, with it having some mods, and after taking to BMW UK and some of you guys saying they won;t touch it if it has been modded, I have just spoke to Warranty Direct and they say no problem with the mods, the won't cover the mods, which Im not to fussed about, AP's, Intract 1k2's and a half cage. But do want engine etc covered.
The guy was saying the BMW OCUK reccomend them over anyone else as they pay out for wear and tear.
Anyone got any experience, is it worth going for, its £750 for the year.
Cheers
Ando

Well I took it gently really, had a few 160 blasts, that thing is mental the power delivery is awesome, a right handful to drive fast on the bend bits even holding throttle postion the turbos want to kick in! so it was hard to drive smooth, but loads of fun, get past anything with the smallest of gaps, I'd ask the misses if the road was clear, her being on the right side to see round the traffic, 9 times out of 10 she'd say 'No', but then I'd have a look and bingo loads of room!! lol
Nath had a good first lap, 7'57" in it, so he'll be right on it soon, track was open sat night for an hour and they had the gp circuit included as well so that was a bit of a surprise getting ready to turn in on t13 and finding a tire wall where the track should be!! lol
The CSL felt a bit loose on the back, so it going off to Simpson's hopefully next week, to have the Intrack Serviced and rear bushes and limiter kit fitted ready for the ring trip at Easter, in between getting couple if bits down at the body shop and re wrapped getting rid of the Pinnacle branding. then it should be like new and drive a bit better, not that its too bad, just been better at high speed on track.

I believe BMW sell a 'Driveline' warranty, which may be more in line with your requirements.

When I gave it a thrashing ..sorry .. little tickle around the other week mate, it was most noticeable, so only gave it 75% ..seeing as I had stolen it ! first thing I said to Paul after driving it was has it got RTAB limiters fitted. You will notice a big difference if thats all itsproblem is.
