As posted. I am over for this weekend. Is anyone else going. I do not really know why I ask as my wife is most unsociable and so I will probably only manage a quick chat. Hey ho I can live in hope.

Well just thought I would post up to say that I had a super long weekend at the Nurburgring 8-10th on track and two days either side travelling. It was relatively quiet throughout the weekend. I am not sure if this was due to the economic crisis, the increase in prices or just one of those things. There certainly were not many British there, just a few 'kids' in hot hatches. There were a lot of Porsches there GT3s and RSs and relatively few track closures.

An e36 complete with roll cage and all the toys creamed in in front of me at the fast left hand bend at Klostertal. I was chasing it up the hill and suddenly got covered in fluid (coolant I assume). I flashed him when I started getting the fine mist on my windscreen to try and warn him but seconds after he was spinning and rolling. He hit the right armco and then bounced back to the left landing on his side on the inside of the apex.

I also had a near miss with a 'RSR' car who cut the corner as I overtook again at Klostertal.

They seem to run the track with safety supervisors now so not a bad thing.

Finally I spoke briefly to a French owner of a right hand drive CSL. In hindsight I should have mentioned the Register. There may have been one other German one there too.

All in all very enjoyable.
