Hi There
Great forum this is.
I just had my 2004 SG CSL (Air Con, Radio, Rain Sensor) serviced and repaired. I was wondering anyone could compare the costs to what you'd pay in the UK. I'm the third owner and the car has 72 000 km's (45000 mi) on it.
The CSL's motorplan was just about to expire so I got the techie to replace as much as possible at the agent.
The stuff that was done:
Oil Service.
1 L of Pentosin Oil. What is this for?
Air con Filter.
Repaired and replaced the passenger side door trim. I BMW save on glue here and it was detaching a bit.
Bleeding the brake system and refreshing the fluid.
New flywheel
New clutch
4 new wheel hubs
Software checks (and upgraded I hope!)
All this came to ZAR 28K which is about GBP 2452 at today's exchange rate.
New shocks, control arms and bushings are on back order and will fitting under Motorplan in three weeks. Not sure how much they will cost.
Any thoughts? Did I miss an opportunity to have something changed?
