Ok so my CSL does not have the Xenon conversion and driving alot of B-roads I fear that this will be the only thing i'll really miss from my M3...

How hard is the conversion, have any of you done it?

I'm guessing it requires the following parts, but please shout if I'm wrong...

Xenon headlamps complete with ballasts
Rear leveling sensor that bolts onto the rear lower arm?
Some sort of wiring loom (I hope it's separate from all other looms)
Control unit re-flashing

Not desperate to do it, but would be nice to keep an eye out for parts and collect them up..

And yes I'm aware that it will add 7KG

Thanks

I'm surprised you've still got them, I thought your CSL was stripped of everything it didn't need to eat tarmac!

If your interested in exchange then you have a deal, PM me ;)

Oh right, how do you adjust them then? otherwise as soon as I've got luggage in the boot and I'm 4 up I shall be blinding everyone :hahaha:

Who did your conversion and how much did it set you back? :smokin:

They were fitted by the 1st owner of the car so i have no idea who done it and at what cost.
I'm saying it doesnt have the leveling sensors but tbh i've never checked. Will have a look for you on Sun when i've got the wheels off at Snett ;)

You can buy a full kit inc projector headlights for approx £250-£300

I fitted a set to mine, still in perfect working order after approx 2 yrs use too.

Dont buy a kit for your halogen type lights, as the light spread will not be correct, you will need to buy the projector headlights IMO

Ah this sounds good, do you have a link?

I don't like the cheap halogen type kits, which is why I assumed OEM was the only way to go - I think I could find a pair of M3 headlights and ballasts for 350/400 if I'm lucky and then it's just wires...

But open to other suggestions :)
