OK not as it seems but have been after one of these for a year or so and have been stunned by how much they are selling for, but have finally managed to get one at areasonable price. No box but will look great with my collection of 1.18 cars I've owned...sad I know.

Thanks, my wife got it for my birthday last year. Had an real M3 EVO11 E30 back in 1995 and wanted the motorsport model version...wife picked it up fo 24.99...bargain as you cannot get them for under £50 normally. She was in the right place at the right time. The detail is stunning..another Autoart classic...Must say this is probaby my favourite touring car racing of all time...if not my favourite racer of all time...would love to build a replica one day.

I know it's not an e30 but this is for you mate
The BMW 'Test Centre' near the Ring is home to this and another diesel example from the 90s. I remember watching the BTCC as a 'young lad' back then at Knockhill, Brands and Thruxton :-D

Lovely.....Love the touring cars.....it's good this year now that we have a few BMW's back in it, but it would be great to see a factory team again....back in the 80's and early 90's it was brilliant. I can still see Frank Sytner taking his E30 to win the championship....and then Steve Soper in the E36 upsetting a few drivers with his aggressive style. Great days.
Talking of E30's I decided to find out if my old M3 was still going. It was on the cover of Ultimate BMW back in 2001 and then saw it in BMW car mag in a track day feature the following year. Did an RAC search and it is still around.....glad someone is looking after it still.
So though I would try and find some of my other cars and this week found my Elise Type25, it was number 15 of a run of 50 cars and loved this little car and it's colour scheme...not looking so good now though....gutted I could have :smt089

I wonder if the CSL engine would fit in the engine bay...I know that people have put E36 M3 engines in them, but never heard of the E46 engine used.....I suppose it would be a bit of a tight squeeze.

What, an S54 in an e30? Yep, it should fit (with a 'little' bit of work.)
Some crazy bloke has managed to squeeze an M5/6 V10 block into an e30 shell: http://car-q.com/plus/view.php?aid=452144

I was racing a e30 with an old M5 engine in it at knockhill
