I had a set of four of these fitted on Saturday. Unfortunately due to the poor weather at the weekend I havent been able to give them the full test, but have to say so far they are excellent, better than I thought they would be and I would definately recommend them!

I'm very interested in these too, more so as a replacement for the PS2s that i have on my road set. Hopefully it will improve the wet weather performance for use on track days when it's too shitty to enjoy Cups!

This will be the test. I'm waiting to gauge opinions on track before I get a set.

In the meantime I have several cup rears to use up, so it's rears on front for me until they're done.

So let me get this right - the Cups that came as OE are no longer available?

NO, the Cups that came as OE on the CSL are 'full fat' CUP's.

The CUP+ is the tyre that's been replaced - it's a half way tyre between a PS2 and a 'Full fat' CUP for mincers :gayfight:

The CUP+ looks like a 'full fat' CUP but with bigger rain channels and not as much road contact surface area.

hope that helps ;)

Got it - it's only the compromise that's been deleted.

So full fat Cups (track orientated) are still available &

PS2's & Cup+ replaced by the Super Sport Pilots for all weather road use.

Is that right?

Nearly....

full fat Cups are still available.

Cup+ (compromise) has been replaced with PSS (Pilot Super Sports)

PS2's still available, but will move to PS3's eventually.

I may try these for track, but got them for road use really. I am hoping to go for "full fat cups" for track on another set of wheels.

It is still early to say, but I would say they seem better than the PS2's.

For this year anyway - until the EU get their way...

PS2's still available, but will move to PS3's eventually.

Different tyres with different abilities. PS3 are 'green' eco-performance tyres not quite up to the ability of PS2.

Funtime is trying his best to confuse all lol! :hahaha:

That's my plan - use Super Sports as road tyres and use them on wet track days to benefit from their superior performance when compared to PS2/Cups in wet.

Use full-fat Cup tyres for dry track days when only the best will do ;)

I will be interested to see how close Super Sports come to Cups in the dry on track however as i always found PS2 to do much better than you might expect of a 'road tyre' on track...

I did try, and succeeded it would seem :hahaha:

Have to be honest I thought the PS3 was a different tyre all-together but I bet it will replace the PS2 (as in the PS2 will become discontinued) ;)

They are good value. Certainly less than PS2's.:smokin:

I'll do the same if reports are good. PSS for Winter road and wet TD's. Cups for Summer and dry TD's.

Just been quoted following for a set of Super Sports
235/35/19 = £212 ea
265/30/19 = £253.50 ea.
Total set £ 931:thumbs:

Now ... these are mates rates to me, but maybe for a few quid more, he would do a ....wait for it ...group buy and hold something similar, he isnt making a lot on those prices tbh.

Just ordered a couple of Full fat Cups fronts off him for £235, and rears quoted £305, how do these compare country wide ?

He is based in MK.

I'm not sure to be honest. I have oem m3 wheels for track. Should I have any issues?r u running 4 x m3 oem rears? or 2 x fronts + 2 x rears ? M3 rear OEM tyre is iirc 255/40 R18, im not up on M3 ...and hardly up on CSL's :banghead:
Consensus is, on 9J X 18 265/35 is way to go
