What's driven you to post this? obviously a bad experience but would help if you explained..

Wont be long until this is locked - Thorney do sponsor this forum after all.

Titan has often posted about us (or me personally) so its not new to have negative comment, however if we've done something wrong I'm happy to fix it. There would be no request from me to close the thread unless the contents were libellous (ie untrue and communicated with the desire of malice).

Its open to discussion as long as it’s not a slanging match on the site.
More info on the problem would help

My twopennuth, I too had a little run in with TMS a while ago, but I didnt come on here and rubbish them, or JT personally. Without going into it too much, as some of it is Johns business and his alone, JT has seen the light, he himself has a different attitude to what he had a year or so ago, and I'm back buying stuff off him as and when. Give him the chance to sort your problem and he will, bearing in mind that it may have been caused by someone working for him. As a business owner myself, I bet there isnt an employer out there who hasnt been let down by an employee at sometime ...and that goes for the self employed too !!!:hahaha:

Was the initial post just to get a crowd to gather? I see it has been 'edited' by A.N Other so not sure if it was the libellous (incidentally another nasty Americanism) or may have indeed explained the problem.

Anyway I along with a few others am all ears. At the end of the day I do not think that there is anything wrong with the occasional 'discussion' about things that have gone wrong and it is all credit to John that he is willing for it to remain public. Very adult and honest and speaks volumes.

John,

I'm just blowing off steam because yet again what should be a simple process of an order becomes arduous. I placed an order for some wheels and *specifically* said that I needed them for the 25th. I cannot recall who took the order but they said the lead time from team dynamics was pretty rock solid, that the order would be chased nearer the time and that ultimately the order was placed such that delivery would be made *at latest* a few days before the 25th.

I have phoned up today to find that none of this has been recorded on the order, Ryan had to phone up TD and guess what - nothing ready for the 25th.

Whilst this is the specific incident that prompted me to blow off steam, whilst I'm here you should tell your guys never to offer to phone a customer back. That way, when they don't call back its not a broken promise. I cannot recall how many times I've called and not received the call back I asked for.

I run a multi million business and I know what good customer service is. Yours is not good customer service.

Nothing in here libellous or defamatory, simply stating my position. There are plenty of people who have told me of similar let downs and horror stories, they are welcome to post them up if they want to.

Actually on one point - I don't ever recall posting about you personally and I'm not sure I've "often" posted about TMS ? Just wonder if you've confused me with someone else?

Anynow, I'm off to try and borrow a set of wheels from someone so I can do a trackday.

Just to let others know, I'm speaking to Titan, have apologised for lack of phonecalls from my staff and explained that despite agreeing a deadline our supplier has failed to adhere to that agreement, a point I have raised with them now. I take full responsibility of course (no point in blaming a supplier regardless if its their fault or not) so I am going to drive over to the race workshop tonight to see if we have a set of wheels that Titan can borrow for Friday.

I've let Lee know already but brought some pressure to bear, wheels are here and will be shipped overnight tonight for Lee tomorrow.

However, it has highlighted an issue that we are still unreliable in our communication on the status of parts ordered so I'm effecting another change in internal systems to generate regular updates for customers even if the call or email says "sorry, we are still waiting".

I guess I'd rather things like this weren't splashed over the internet as the outcome was that we hit the deadline as originally set when the order was made and I'd rather we fixed our issues wihtout them necessarily being aired for everyone but at the same time I wont hide from criticism and if we are not performing as we should then I will fix it.

John, bad feedback is just an oportunity to turn that opinion around. This thread reads fine and shows willingness to resolve.

Have you got a customer comments/complaints email address, or anything in that new system of yours. I would take any you recieve seriously, assign them a number and make sure they are updated with any contact made (even left Voicemail, tried calling no answer) or updates. Then ensure each one comes to a conclusion.

You can then also use the data gleamed from doing the above to spot patterns, see where mistakes are being made or training required. Don't use it as a blame culture thing but a positive way for staff to improve, or as direct feedback to pass onto suppliers or back up your onward complaint.

Was an awesome resort, snowed a bit, but was also very sunny on 3 days so perfect, and come back with a bit of colour, felt sideways most of yesterday..

latest we started drinking was 3/4 ish apart from a day we ditched skiing and went on a 'all dayer' so most days were 10hrs + on it ... for 7 nights, I need a week to recover !! :hahaha:

Need to go somewhere next time with green runs, and spend some time in ski school, as just went straight up the mountain with the boys and literally shit myself, as I fell down the slopes !!

...and as if by magic, my wheels turned up at TMS today and should be with me tomorrow. Many thanks to John for getting involved and using a wand.

Now then, I need to start a "Why are Camskill so rubbish?" for telling me tyres were in stock, I put through the order whilst on the phone checking this and then get an email a few mins later saying "out of stock". heh to be fair, one of those fluke chances where an order got in seconds before mine...apparently...maybe I'm just cursed.

So its no R888s on the new wheels, but hankook RS2 instead.

Without wanting to descend into a tyre debate, on my brothers R26.R we datalogged R888 vs Michelin PS2 at the 'ring. Same day/conditions etc etc yawn ;-)

basically - fook all in it in terms of vmax through corners etc. Where the R888 seemed to win was in the "inspiring confidence" stakes which allowed the driver to push on or turn in more positively. They also took the heat/abuse a bit better. PS2 is a pretty decent tyre though and its a 235 profile on the R26.R compared to 225 profile on the R888.

As always YMMV :-)

As for an unbiased report, bound to be wet at Oulton so doubt I'll come back with any meaningful outcome. Vbox is plumbed in now though :)

Lee - I would have gone for the Kumho V70a over the Hankook RS2's, I've run both and preferred the V70a's on the BMW. Maybe worth considering if not too late?
