Bought myself a Parrot kit for the CSL from our one and only Mark.
Told him what i was looking for and he recommended and supplied a very nice looking MKi9100 kit with all required wiring at a very good price

I wanted to keep the interior looking as original as possible so spent a bit of time planning where everything was going to go.

The control unit is mounted in behind the glove box in a handy cubby hole below what i think is the ECU.

I mounted the Mic on top of the rear view mirror and ran the cable into the roof lining through the same location as the cables for the rain sensor.
It then runs down the N/S A pillar using the clips already there for other cables and into the control unit.

The screen i wanted but was unsure where i was going to place it.
After a bit of head scratching i decided on the ashtray as the location.
This required the drilling of a small hole for the cable but i decided that i could live with it as its in behind the screen anyway.
Cable then runs under the console and in behind the glove box into the control unit.

The ipod lead again required a 20mm hole to be drilled for it's gromet and this i done inside the glove box frame (plastic bit you remove to get to the ECU) This allows me to plug in the ipod and shut it in the glove box out the way. It can be controlled by the parrot control buttons and details are displayed on the screen :smokin:

The Parrot control buttons are wireless so can be mounted anywhere.
I placed it around a bit but decided that it was best up out of the way so a little bit of Velcro and it now sits up on the roof.

The loom for the head unit / Parrot kit is pretty bulky once its all together so i again spent some time getting this all tidy and out the way.

Only required one confirmation call to the Jedi master about some cables and i was happy.

Heres some pics.

Nothing better than a nice neat install that can be hidden - well done.

That is very tidy job and has given me an idea, especially now Mark is running an offer on this kit.

I have a 3200 installed at the moment, together with an iPod connection though and this would replace both. I installed the screen/controller in the wee cubby hole by your right knee, would work with a bit of velcro too, ;-)

Good install, I personally would have mounted the control on the drivers sun visor- invisible when not in use then

Mark- are these kits compatible with any car- eg mercs

Thanks

Tried but when the visor is closed the centre button gets pressed against the roof and it has a push as well as rotate function.

Would have been ideal though.
saying that you dont notice it up where it is.

i've got almost exactly the same install in my CS.
works well.
only complaint i've got is when i leave the ipod connected then start the car, sometimes the kit plays music from my iphone via bluetooth???
seems to be ok if i connect the ipod after starting the car.
