Evening, after your views on buying a car without it having full bmw service history?
Was firstly concerned as I was thinking at even if I bought a car without warranty on I could add it but since I may make some tweaks it sounds like I may not be able to have a BMW warranty any way.
What are your thoughts on resale and also buy price impact?
Thanks

Is your question about warranty, service or service history?
My personal take on BMW service is firstly I need it to maintain BMW warranty. I kept up m BMW derived for 3 years of no bMW warranty as I always though that taking out a BMW warranty on sale would help the price and faster sale.
Also Ive always thought that having two decent garages looking at my car means you get two opinions, BMW MUrketts and Simpsons.
Other than this I don't think BMW are any better at dealing with the CSL than a good indie BmW garage.
Finally I think if you car is tracked and nodded even more reason to have a BMw warranty just in case just don't read the small print.

Thanks Shimmy, so if not clear it was should I look for car with BMW service and whats the impact on price not having it?
Was looking at adding warranty as well but may do break upgrade and not sure what the position is if I do that any how?
Cheers

Brakes - They won't be covered under warranty obviously. but the rest of the car will be if you use a good dealer. Pick a bad one and they may tell tales and void your warranty. I haven't had a problem yet and my car had AP's fitted the day after I bought it.
If no FBMWSH, you can always get a "warranty direct" warranty, discount available for car club members i think, dunno what the discount is though.
Value wise, a good car is worth what it is to you. Shimmy may well have a figure though, much like a ballerina on steriods

Buy Bealos car - simples
seriously, there should be sufficient choice out there. You have to question why someone would not properly service a 60k (new) car - makes you wonder what else is skipped !

if it didnt have a BMW stamp I would expect to see a well known stamp in there, someone with CSL knowledge.
I think you can still get the warranty as long as all serviceable parts have been OEM which people like Simpsons, Thorney etc would use and you have full history, stamps receipts etc
I may be wrong
