After being rudely awakened by a scraping noise from outside this morning, someone who can't fookin drive has clipped my front drivers side wing and bumper! :banghead:

I already knew I had a bad start as I was booked in at local Kwik-fit for new front PS2's as old ones were completely shot! Usual conversation, please take extra care with rims etc.I was reassured "Of course sir, that's what we do!"
45 mins later - WTF! near side rim fooked! A trainee had done my wheels and couldn't get the tyre off - slipped twice with tyre lever....... :banghead:
The answer I got was "Oh it's just the lacquer sir!"

After a short while I regained my composure (bearing in mind Jay did the whole car including wheel refurb in Sept) I am awaiting an answer from the Area manager!

Feel for you.

I had similar damage done by 'Tyre Sales' to my previous car about two weeks after a wheel refurb. In the end I got all 4 re-done at their cost as the paint is never the same colour.

Of course they blamed the Pilot Sport tyre for being too stiff, and 'we don't normally do many of these line'.... tw@ts.

Gutted for you mate, some cock whacked the wing mirror off tghe Mrs Dad's Prius outside the house last night, not happy as the CSL was only feet away!! :banghead:

Tyre changing is a pain in the arse, I am literally in the garage next to the machine when I get mine done but they don't mind as they know me through my Dad's garage, I'm bloody lucky and grateful for that, they are a good bunch of lads! Hope you get things sorted mate...

If they were not playing ball, I would have refused to pay for tyres until they sorted it.

Yes wheels can be damaged, but thats the risk they take and they should cough up for repair IMO straight away,

Hope you get sorted Roly:thumbs:

Sorry mate,

but thats what happens when you go to a faceless nationwide tyre fitter/rip off center.

if you had went to a smaller owner/operator type garage it would have been sorted on the spot.

nightmare, hopefully kwik-fit will do the right thing and pay to have them refurbished.

A couple of friends of mine run a bodyshop and often send wheels of for refurbishing, they got so fed up with tyre fitters in the end and bought there own tyre fitting and balancing machines, much nicer having someone you trust changing them over.

Use Lepsons Dan, they completely acid dip old paint off and start from scratch!
No paint build up on codes in centre etc. I'm sure Shimmy has a post about his visit to them - also for pics Shimmy had his refurbed set up for sale recently and Jay @ gleaming Kleen has my car on his Detail Link

Im off to Swindon on Thursday to have my fronts redone after Kwik-Fit's Fopar!:smokin:
