As I'm sure everyone does, I browse a couple of forums including one local to me in NI.

I seen this thread and had to comment...

Apart from anything, who puts a FIVER of fuel in anything bigger than a lawnmower???

We don't all have csl money mate.

Yeah, sorry about that. It was an early rise here in Brasil 03:30lt, I do apologise lads.

But, working in oil and gas, poor petrol Station behaviour really grinds me. I've seen people using phones, filling their car with it still running AND wait for it, SMOKING in Petrol Stations not to mention the appalling parking etiquette witnessed in recent years and not a peep from the attendant. This thread sums it up nicely.

I have wondered how people got Red Diesel into their road cars, but after seeing someone fill 2 x 25l drums and running across the road to tip it into his Passat, I thought that's what everyone 'had' to do. *-)

Was I being bitchy? He really hurt me :birdman:

It's actually quite a good wee site, for local stuff.

My point exactly. It's a false economy, Fuel is only going to increase so whenever you buy fuel, it's more that likely going to be cheaper than the next time you do (If using the same garage) A fiver will get what? 3 1/2l of Super or Diesel? Which, depending on your driving will get you anything between 10 and 30 miles worth of driving before you have to go back to the Station??? :banghead:

he has a point, not everyone can afford csl money, and put more than a fiver in the tank- those that live day by day..........

Yeah, I suppose. Maybe he's worried his car will get nicked and he'll have lost that £50 worth of fuel he put in the car the night before. That would nearly double the value of the car... now that's being snobby! :supz:

Back in the day though, didn't a fiver FILL the tank? ;) All gentle banter mate, you're probably younger than me! :hahaha:

Thinking back now, I remember a mate who had a 1.0l Nova SALOON no less put £4 in. I still give him grief about it, but as you said it was back in the day when he was a student. So maybe I should've just shut up, but it was embarrassing at the time. :bigcry:
