View Full Version : Bilstein PSS10 VS Intrax 1K2
Hi all ,
At the moment i have the bilstein PSS10 kit on my CSL ( most of the time used on track) but now i'm starting to push the CSL harder and harder on track i find the PSS10 to soft so i'm looking for another suspension kit .
So i hear very good things of Intrax , the 4 way is too expensive but the 1K2 kit seems to be the way to go .
Is the 1K2 much better then the PSS10 or is the difference too small to upgrade ?
Or any other options ?

As an other option... couldn't you just change the spring rates for stiffer ones then the standards springs that come with the Billstein PSS10 kit and maybe have the Billy shocks serviced ?
Also polybushing your anti roll bars front & rear with "POWERFLEX" stuff might help
Just a though ;)
I already have the powerflex bushing , billstein does not offer other springs, H&R will make them but they ask €1000 :banghead:

Intrax is good. I have 1K2 on mine and really like it. Have to think about rear mounting point for coilover unit though. Lot's of adjustability and easy to adjust. Still fairly expensive though.
Have you thought about KW? Their new range has better adjuster system now and it's certainly quality stuff with lots of choice on spring rates and a good service/rebuild dept. Very reasonable price as well.

Best bet would be to change to the Intrax 1K2 kit.
How much you wanting for the Bilstein kit? ;) :-D

You can get off the shelf springs for the PSS10s.

 for Powerflex bushes... best £75 I've spent on my CSLs suspension upgrades

Auch :119: that's a big chunk of cash for 4 springs :banghead: Surely "Eibach" would have something to suit, for less ?

Out of interest do you also run the RTAB Limiter kit Matt?

You may have said before Alex but what's been your solution to date for the rear mounting on your car?

I may be wrong Dan but from previous posts on here the poly RTABs are bigger and you cant run with the turner limiter kit.
i had powerflex bushes and OEM were put back in when Murketts replaced some of the rear suspension under warranty, unfortunately they didnt last a year so now they are fitting the limiter kit for me, I wont be able to claim on warranty if the RTABs go again but even Murketts say they make a worthwhile difference, I will let you know

In a word Dan "No" ;) Still running O.E. RTAB that were replaced under warranty just shy of 60K miles. I do have "POWERFLEX" ones on standby  when the replacement O.E. ones finally give out ;) :hahaha:

Matt, why bother when the limiter kit offers OEM comfort but much controlled movement making the bushes last 3-4 times longer. Haven't touched mine in over 3 years and 30,000 energetic miles.

Simpsons did me a limiter kit along with brand new OEM RTAB's last April Steve, it made a huge difference, shame it feel's normal now! I need to tweek something again to make it feel more special again! :hahaha:
Rob/Daz, what's the deal with these new KW Clubsport's out then, what's new and improved over the old range barring adjusters? Oh, and any word on price yet?

The rear trailing arm bush is designed to be sideways-compliant in order reduce the toe-out on the rear wheels under hard cornering.
This is in order to reduce oversteer.
More toe-out on the rear = more oversteer.
The RTAB limiters effectively stop the rear toe changing during hard cornering by stopping the RTA from moving sideways.
What everyone calls "tightening up the rear end".
But it will increase the tendency to oversteer.
So I'm in two minds.
I am running these ATM and they're ok. But I haven't tracked my car to see how good they actually are, although simpson rave about them they say you don't even need to change your oem ARBs, the limiter kit will be suffice even for the track.

Mine certainly didn't swapmto snap overseers or even tendency to overseers when running a limiters kit.
It was still the same old understeering bus until I got the tyres and geo set up right
