Brought a S/H actuator motor as a spare ( I know it's a bit pikey but paid nothing & always handy) and would like to know if it's fully functional. I know your thinking just go try it. Well.. CSL is on location for the next few months.

I wondered if someone knew or could check if when the engine is off, can the flap be forced open by hand. I remember being able to force open my current flap (:hahaha:). This S/H one doesn't allow me to do this, which makes me suspect it's fooked! Unless my current one is as it has no resistance in the part allowing it to open freely by hand.

If it's NBG I will post up in the FS Section :-D

Anyone?

Mine can't be forced open by hand with the car off or on and it's definitely working.

Cheers Tom. The Answer I was looking for. Seems my current one may have never worked then. I've often wondered what all this Airbox chatt was about!

i bought my csl off tino and he'd had an issue with the potentiometer so prior to getting it fixed under warranty he removed the flap. The motor now works a treat but the flap is still off the car. Its sounds great regardless of how aggresively you're driving.
