I'd like to be able to use CCI, but they seem to heavily restrict road mileage. At least on their website the max. they allow is 5K PA. Has anyone got a policy with them that's more flexible on that ?

Otherwise, the cheapest quote I'm getting at the moment is from LV.

Hi, you can get a phone quote for higher mileages, there is a guy who deals with the CSL's and mention the forum you should get 5% discount!

Think I need to ring them again. May be my Belfast post code but can't see it make that much difference and my car is "just" an M3 not a CSL. Only mods are lowered 20mm and front APs. Girl was quite surprised when she asked how her quote compared with previous quotes and I told her it was twice what I'm being quoted! My renewal is £610 but my current insurer won't cover the mods so need to find one that does.

It's a shame if it does mate but the Belfast area might be making all the difference, I'm pretty sure Rob's area in Cornwall is an 'Area A' and mine in Dorset definately is... Best of luck with it! Who are you with at the moment?

Could be the postcode but £1500 is still v high. I'm with Aviva at the minute. Lowest quote with mods is Adrian Flux @ £750.

When my car was unmodified i always found Admiral to be the best on price.

They also allowed my AP brake modifications no problem for an extra £30 per year. When i added more mods they weren't happy, however...!

Agreed £1,500 seems unecessarily high, need to get that down somehow!

I am with CCI. For comparison - I pay £1600. 28 year old, car on driveway Birmingham, 9 years NCB, never claimed, 9 points, 10,000 miles per year. I got 10% discount for being a member here.

i'm with CCI, 41 with full no claims, 2 non fault claims, and SP50, 5 track days, 7500 mile per annum, £620ish or less IIRC. the only arse is that it doesn't cover 3rd party in other cars like most policies do.

My current insurer nowell and richards wanted 300 more from me this year with 3 td's.

Thanks to this thread CCI stuffed that with 5 td's and euro travel cover Lindsey seems like a good choice to speak to know's csl's and this place.

Cheers Lads

Unforntunately, I just got quoted £1092 from CCI, living in NI. Managing to get it less than £700 but its quite a bit more than the £400 I was paying for a year insurance when I first got the car 5 years ago.
