Hi all,

I found this place through the Pistonheads CSL forum and just joined up as I'm hoping to buy a CSL soon. :) Just wanted to say hi before lurking and reading all the back log!

Cheers,

Jon

Hope you find the info you need. Ask any questions and we're more than happy to help (with a bit of friendly banter in-between ;) )

Use the thread search as most topics have been discussed at length, usually in the technical section.

Cheers all, I'm loving the banter on here so far. Seems a bit more civilised and informed the PH! ;) *ducks*

I'm off to look at a few this weekend, I'm based in London so the nearby ones are in Abingdon or Potters Bar. I've not driven one for a few years and the last E46 M3 I drove was quite tired and I still loved it so hoping to be impressed again.

Thanks for all the offers of information, two questions for starters:

What's the highest milage anyone knows of for a CSL?

How important is it to have a warranty in people's opinion/experience? If I bought one without what might go wrong that would cost big money? Are the engines as bomb proof as they seem?

Thanks again,

Jon

I haven't bothered with a warranty for over 2.5years and the car's been A1.

There was a SG car up for sale 6 months back which was on 99k miles.

Warranty was important to me at first but not so now. I doubt i will renew in April and just put the money towards a repair slush fund :smokin:
