BMW is stroking its long, bushy and diabolical Moustache of World Domination and considering rolling out a hotter 1M Coupe (http://www.topgear.com/uk/tags/Coupe), apparently.
In an interview with website jonsibal.com, a BMW ‘source' said a CSL-type 1M Coupe would depend on reaction to the M-powered 1-Series, set for a Detroit Motor Show unveil in January.


The last CSL was, of course, the E46 M3 CSL; a car which Jeremy described on Top Gear telly as "BMW, at its absolute best". There's also the recent and quite sold out BMW M3 (http://www.topgear.com/uk/tags/BMW-M3) GTS. Should the moustached rulers of M decide to sip from the same bottle, the 1M CSL could be a natty bit of kit.
Of course, they could also decide to build a four-door-coupe-estate version of the 1M Coupe, as well as a version running solely on the hopes and dreams of BMW fanboys. Rumours of a BMW 1M Coupe blimp capable of outgunning a Zonda around the ‘Ring are unfounded, and entirely speculative.

Until then, Mr Jonsibal.com has decided to imagine how a CSL 1-er could look (above). Remind yourself why you should be interested in the 1M Coupe and let us know below how your 1M CSL would look like...

Looks good, but needs the CF roof and a more CSL specific front bumper.

pleeeease make this car real, but at first take of the stupid Turbo of the engine and make prober engine with limit at 9k rpm

I think that rendering is just a normal 1 series M coupe in white with some stripes?

The arches are pretty flared on the prod one, and front spoiler is the same shape.. reckon it'll be rather chunky and mean looking in the flesh, like it.

wouldn't be surprised if the next M would be 5 series GT or maybe 760iL :smt072

i think we will all wait for a long time until the next exciting M GmbH product comes out...maybe when GT3 sales doubles one day.

GT M sounds fully feasible if you ask me.

I am sure it would be a big hit in Switzerland !

theyll probably wait until they make a car pretty enough to look fast and appealing at the same time, hence why that butt ugly fecking 1 series wont be a CSL :banghead:

Agree with you there Shimmy. The 1 series coupe is one uuuugly car!
