is is possible to change pads without removing caliper?

do they fit under stock CSL wheels without any spacers?

I am not sure you will get many replies here as most run AP racing brakes not Alcons. Saying that I would have thought most systems allow you not to have to remove the whole caliper. I run RS29s for track days with my AP set up.

hmm that's what i thought once i've seen pics of the alcon caliper that pad change is not that easy as i wish :((

looks like there is only one option matching all my wishes and it's very expensive Movit set 370mm with rapid pad change system, choice of pads include R29 and fit to oem wheels

EDIT: ok but i see removing the Alcon caliper is just 2 bolts and should be very easy and quick, not much more time needed against the other systems

I run Alcons

I have the RS29 pads

Honestly changing pads is not that different to OEM brake setup. Yes you do have to remove the calipers (2 bolts) and push back 6 pistons, but it's not that difficult. I've never had to change pads at a track day ... go figure ;)

And the Alcons have pretty decent clearance with OEM 18s, 19s and CSL 19s.

yes changing pads is similar as OEM, means bad :-) as I have changed pads at track day many times I'd love to have it as quick and simple as possible

but the alcon system looks quite quick with just 2 screwes

and to be honest, there is only one monoblock system which fits under stock wheels and does not cost a fortune and it's Alcons... the second one which fits, is monoblock and pad change without caliper removal is Movit 370mm 6 piston but cost a lot more

Yeah I wanted the silver finish. The Alcon logo is actually moulded / recessed and painted rather than a sticker / transfer as per the CSL cup variety.

It is a more OEM-ish look, but having said that, I still get people walking up to me in garages and asking specifics on the brakes and how much they cost!

I think the Alcon prices have dropped since I bought mine for CSL.

I paid £1350 inc vat delivered for the front kit for my Evo X, last month.
That was from mitsubishi dealer too.
That was calipers, discs, ds2500 pads, braided hoses.
