...my time has come, to say farewell.

Hanging up the keys to the CSL after a fun filled year of ownership. Just in the process of pulling material together for the ad, and will probably have one on here and PH. I am replacing it for the winter with something that will get me to the station each day now I've changed jobs and not get stuck on our road if the white stuff descends. Also, finally needed to succumb to something that can be used by the whole family (SWMBO+3 kids).

I know there's a mixed view of whether these wondrous vehicles are appreciating or staying steady, but what do the collective might of the CSL register reckon is a good going rate for first punt? It's an SB 04/04 w/33k miles, still under warranty as bought as BMW AUC last year. Original car, with no track work to my knowledge. Had a couple of new boots 1k ago for £600, and £800 of front brake work under warranty over the summer. I have a firm dealer bid in the back pocket, but want to see how I fair privately first...

And let me also take the chance to big up the CSL register massive. I know I've not been the biggest poster - far from it, but have met Yanto and Shim at a couple of meets, know Mr DazBlack (we must still get that beer sir!), and admired others that I've seen at Bracknell PH SS and down Goodwood. Good banter, and a font of knowledge - respect to you gentlemen (and CSLGirl)

Sorry to hear Jeffers....

Might hurt you financially to try and part with it this side of Xmas...no way you can wait ?

Re price - I would go ~£28.5K and take no less than £27K...

Its pretty low mileage and great condition.

Not a penny under £30k imo. There's some real shitters at £27k, if it were me I'd eat it before giving it away at that...

I'm thinking closer to 3wheels3 of course - thanks all for the input.

If still have it - will also take it along to the PH Sunday Service at Mercedes World - looks like a couple of the usual suspects have signed up to that

I have to agree around £28,000. Bear in mind a 28k miler was up at Munich Legends for £30k this summer. I do not think it had the BMW warranty but may have had APs and it was the summer. Balance that with yours ie it is winter and not a good time to sell and presumably does not have any 'upgrades' but does have a warranty.

What has the dealer offered £24/25k ?

Of course in a way we are the wrong people to ask as we will always err on the upside and like to think our cars are worth more than they may be.

£30k in the spring/summer ;)

Pip
Ps keep it, store it and splash out on a chuckle bus for the family and SWMBO - WTF? giant pet elephant?

Unfortunately had something seasonal in the diary long before the Xmas curry was lined up - if I listen up carefully on the night, maybe I'll hear you all either arriving into town or singing your way home

I know I'll get north of 27k - will be a great purchase for someone if I get the MOT renewed this week too. Might try get the Ad written up tonight

I was getting trade offers of 15k for my csl with 47k on clock. 53 plate.

I doubt trade will offer you over 22k. They can be cunts and if you are getting offered higher you have some nice traders.

Private, going on current "asking" prices, i would advertise at 28k.

Good luck with sale.
