BMW brake pad options

I thought BMW used to offer an upgraded brake pad as an option, but two dealers I've spoken to reckon I'm imagining things! Am I?

I believe that they did indeed offer an upgrade.

As far as I know they were Pagid Orange but with a BMW part no.

may be you should give your dealer a part#, if he can't find them or doesn't know where to look.

Why not just go aftermarket Phil?
The car is booked in with BMW for inspection II and wanted to get the brake pads done at the same time. I thought if I could get some BMW approved Pagids I'd just just get them to fit them at the same time. However, BMW will probably have a 100% mark up so may well end going aftermarket.
