So i've silently stalking you this last week, lusting after enough CSL. I sold the last one as the business needed money, and i felt guilty having it. Unfortunately, i sold it at the worst moment, selling it for about £28k with around 20k miles, APs, Supersprint centre pipe and a few other trinkets. Feel like a right mug looking at the prices of them now! :hahaha:

Another deciding factor was that i was very precious with car, to the point of not using it. This time, i want to buy a slightly more leggy car and i wanted to get some advice on specific things (at last, i get to the point!) i should look out for on older / higher mileage cars? I'm worried about these rear suspension or boot problems i heard about before i left you guys last time... can't remember the details but remember a few issues!!

Cheers guys!

Rob

P.S. If one of you have my old one, let me know!

Hi rob!

Boot would be covered under warranty on a car with standard suspension, shimmy can fill you in on the details.

Welcome back, almost. I'm sure you made the right choice at the time and you're business has appreciated, now that all is better you're making another good choice. Get back in the game.

The boot floor failure is pretty common across the range. As long as no a/m suspension BMW should do free repair under goodwill, no warranty required. Most indies and dealers now can spot the cracks. Personally ignore it in purchase as it could happen a week later. Just buy the car and get it checked out before you start modding it. Zero cost.

Some cars with rear coilovers also can get tears in rear turrets but some bracing or z3 plates will hold this back.

Personally i would by on condition and history. Knowing the history more than worrying about it. Warranty won't be much good if you are going to heavily mod it but may add piece if mind if not.

Just taken a look at your's Mole...man i love them without the front numberplate on, shame it's not legal!!

Timing is not right to make a move this second though (building a garage), so don't want to waste anyone's time.
