One for the non english peeps on here Alexk / and ze germans :hahaha:
Thinking about some winter tyres at the mo.. as I use mine every day.. sun / rain / snow etc .. and if we have another repeat of last winter, or more snow gonna need something better than my F1s.
Question is what is recommended by those that use them / sizes etc, do you keep the Std wheels and go slightly smaller sizes .. ?
18"s and smaller again ?
and what ones... Vredesteins are supposed to be good for both the extreme wet / snow ... but just wondered if anyone with greater knowledge than I could help
Thanks in advance chums ! :hahaha:

Daz, Alexk had some awesome winter tyres he showed me at Spa. Ask him what they were. They did him in a Swiss winter, so well man enough for our's.;)

If i were you Daz i'd buy a cheap set of 18" M3 wheels and stick Vredsteins on them - cheaper in the 18" size too
Of course the more vain side of you may not like the 18's idea! :hahaha:

Hi mate,
I am running BBS CHs 19" with the legendary Vredestein Wintrac Extreme 235/35 and 265/30.
They are doing FINE in the snow and also are very good in the wet.
Also, they are very good on track, having done 3 hours in Monza, 4 laps @ the Ring and 2 hours in Spa
Also, I have done a lot of kilometers in the German autobahn with high speeds (200-280) and they are very good.
3 year and still have a lot of tread and can do the season without any problem
It's always a surprise for the Italians in Monza when they see me in the winter tyres entering Monza... and kick their asses :blalalala:
I don't see the point on 18" to be honest, other than cost.
I will take a pic later/tomorrow of the tyres to see the tread after 15k km full of drifting in the snow, wet, Monza (I drift in the sikeins of Monza), Spa, Ring

Well 8 months per year is winter in Switzerland...
By the way, the CSL wheels are lighter than the CHs ;)
