Err.... no I did not realise that your prices are for two. I kind of assumed that your price was £213 each. Mine were £223 each and were from a place in Sittingbourne in Kent on the industrial estate there.

Here it is ......A2 Tyres tel 01795 475200

Oh and YES they were new fitted and balanced with new valves.

Hi Mark, please can you pm me when you confirm the details.

Anyone know what the Toyo's are like compared to the cups, not having used either is it worth having a set for track days ?

Thanks

Slicks
Hoosiers

Front 235-35-19 £215 inc del
Rears 265-35-19 £221.06

Hoosier don’t do a 265-30-19 but no clearance issues running 265-35-19.

I have Cups on my track wheels and they are good for 3 sec a lap round Knockhill

The toyo 888 were on my m8s old E36 M3 EVO and they were great
but as for the CSL i dont know yet i think it is slicks for the track for me
and PS2s for the road

toyo have only just started making 888 for 19inch CSl sizes so nobod has used them yet that i know of HOWEVER porkers mates use them all the time and most of them have moved to Cups as the Cups do not go of on track as quickly and provide a better track tyre.

888 as we all know will give better wet condition grip biut the CSl was built for Cups so an easy choice imho

Just spoke to a very helpful guy at Camskill.

PS2 Prices as stated.
R888s: F:£189; R:£196

After a long discussion about tyres for road, track and bit of both, the guy suggested the Goodyear F1 Asymmetric tyre. This is not available in the UK yet in the CSL sizes but he has a number of them ordered in from Germany. He has heard very good things about them both on road and track. They are only F:£159; R:£170.

So the search continues.

BTW Simply Tyres mentioned earlier just quoted a very average price for PS2s, nowhere near the price offered by Camskill.

I can vouch for camskill. EXcellent prices, and very fast delivery.

What about Falken 452's??

I have never used them myself, but I hear nothing but good reports about them, and they are less than £500 for a full set from Camskill. I know several M5 & M3 owners (that do track days) that rave about them.

I've been using the 452's now for 4 trackdays and they seem fine to me, still loads of tread left.

I'm defo going to switch to cups next year and after speaking to Shimmy and Woppum i think they will stay on my car all year.
