Currently held at GG Steel and have left a deposit on it as it truely is immaculate, test drove it, inspected every inch of the car including welding joints in the engine bay area and boot.
Just want to know if it is known on here or any history (hopefully not bad :bigcry:)

All he means by that is he didn't have any info on it on his list but he's now added the registration number to the register! I don't think Shim meant it hasn't got a history to it! :hahaha: ;)
I kind of recognise the plate, I think it was for sale around a year ago when I was looking for mine, it was midlands/up north way IIRC (i'm on south coast so most places are up north! :bigcry:).

It has had quite a few owners (5) but its the best one in the flesh I have seen. It's in pristine condition.

Piccies here; only thing it needs is some of the footwell CSL strips as they have a bit of milk effect.

Just hit 55k mate with 5 owners! Would this put any of you guys off if you found a mint CSL?
Test drove the car, waited for it to warn up then gave it a little pelt, checked the brakes, steering and clutch all seemed spot on. Not one rattle either

No, just buy on condition.
If not got BMW warranty, get it thoroughly checked over then budget 1300 to buy warranty.
Many on here will vouch, if it goes tits up the warranty is priceless:thumbs:

Warranty just ran out Lawsy, though it was checked over by Will at GG Steel and nothing needed doing. However the previous owner left it with the guys as the gasket needed doing which I don't know much about, but when I drove the car it drove very well, I can't fault it in anyway.
How much is a warranty Lawsy with BMW? or is it worth going with someone else?

Approx £1300 to start off then 800ish to renew. Def worth doing if you want piece of mind,

needs fbmwsh with no gaps or you are wasting your money,
bmw one is top nothc tbh and at 55k miles you can get it monthly cheap still and just keep paying monthly
saved me a few bob this year (well maybe a bit more than afew bob)

Yup it has full BMW Service History, however the run in service was done at 1600 miles! Hopefully this should be alright.
I am told that they will carry out a INSP 2 @ GG Steel before I collect as its due in 6k

Tell them not to stamp the book then or as Shimmy says, claim will not be upheld, if you tak out the warranty

get bmwuk/mondial to confirm the 1600 running in is ok (they may say no)
and if thye say yes, youd better get a credit from GGS as youll need to do it with bmw in 6k miles anyway or as Lawsy says, avoid stamping the book

Nope its quite common for them to have a number of owners as they have either been in a collection or they are the kind of car to have owned.
I don't think the credit crunch helped either :)

Thanks guys for all your kind support!
Will ask them not to do the INSP and get it booked in at Sytner, although I don't really fancy getting another INSP 2 @ 1k again :banghead:

Holy thread resurrection..... I have decided that I don't like the private plate which was on my car, in general I think they are a bit naff. So I have applied online to have it put on retention, so the car formally known as M3 TBV will once again be known as....
PN53 WTF :supz:
Glad to see it has been on the forum for some time. Next job is to find out who was the supplying dealer and see if I can get them to make some plates up. Sad, I know.

Next you should research into the posts of the people who had it before you and see how much it's been bought and sold for in the past. :bigcry:
