View Full Version : Can you damage Cups in Cold Weather?

Was wondering, if I were to leave the cups on the car the whole winter, is there any chance the rubber will loose its properties due to sufficient exposure at cold temperatures?
I was told this would happen with Toyo's R888....

Not that I know of. Winters aren't that harsh in UK these days. Are you taking it to the Arctic Circle or something?;)

That is true with the toyo r888 they crack below 5 degrees if storing release air pressure, would have thought due to the very soft rubber compound that this could happen to the cups too but not sure.:smt102

Cups dont work under 7c and i dont know about the cold but the sun can affect them :thumbs:

Well, apart from digging snow drifts off my front door, I was mostly in the pub.:beer:
I think the op is asking about the effect of storing cups in cold conditions. Never had an issue with mine, that's all I can say.

I was snowed in twice for a week and had to spend days in the pub building snowmen and having the biggest snowball fight ever .. Harshest winter I've seen in 38 years !!! Lol

I personally would wrap them in a blanket and put a hot water bottle on each one. :smokin:
