Hi,
BMW Did make a E36 CSL.
I can not remember how many, but
it was not as raw as the E46, but if I
remember correctly had wind up windows,
alloy doors, thinner Glass, uprated ECU
and some other weight saving and a few
more trick parts etc.
They also made 50 RHD GT, which were
BR Green and Bright Red.
Alloy doors, uprated ECU, and you could have
different Diff Ratio etc.
These were all based on the S50 30 not the 32,
but made about the same power.
Regards,
The Gorilla.

Red ones were the Evo Individual, based on the M3 Evo (50 Made)
BR Green ones were the GT Induvidual, based on the non Evo M3 (50 Made)
They also made a GT Coupe, again BR Green, based on the non Evo M3 (356 Made)
Make our CSL's common as muck :-D

UK GTs didn't get the alloy doors either I don't think, just the LHD ones?
Red ones (sometimes refereed to as GTIIs) were a poncy run out model rather than aimed at improved performance?
Azrael - Which of the GT or GT coupe was the more performance oriented of the two?

Both largely the same.
M3 GT Coupé LHD (http://www.m3gtregister.com/m3gt_euro.html)
M3 GT Individual RHD (http://www.m3gtregister.com/m3gt_uk.html)
Imola red Evo
M3 Evo Induvidual (http://www.m3gtregister.com/m3evoindividual.html)

Hi,
Says here that the E36 CSL were all sent
to NA.
http://www.topspeed.com/cars/bmw/m-series/1992-2000-e36-bmw-m3-review-ar10589.html
I know of at least 2 in Germany, so they could
have been shipped back ?
But if you know the right people in BMW MS anything
is possible.
Alloy Doors were available on UK cars.

The Gorilla.

I believe some have alloy doors and some don't
I think the GT Coupe is more performance orientated but only in that it was built upon the already performance orientated GT Individual.
Ive had an eye on them for a while I love the E36 GT in BR Green. Nice and agressive with the Front splitter and rear spoiler.
