Anybody got a car with no Air Con. Is it an issue on trackdays or travelling to trackdays?

It would certainly be a nice luxury to have had, but it never bothered me in the slightest

And you only had the short drive to Oulton Park in your CSL... :hahaha:
Air con is the only option i deem as 'essential' to aid the enjoyment of the CSL - especially as i drive many miles to get to track and Ring trips during summer. Those journeys simply wouldn't be very nice without aircon...:bigcry:
All the other options are just 'nice to have'.

I done cadwell x 1, anglesey x2 as well :birdman:
I agree if you use the car a great deal, I was a weekend blaster and trackday so no A/C didnt bother me, if it was main car I would prefer A/C.
Window down, fresh air and induction, life was shwweet:smokin:

dmcCLS, ignore the squabbling. It is like being on PlayschoolRegister.com sometimes ;) . Personally I think air conditioning is a luxury and definately not a necessity but people expect so much these days. As the CSL is a relatively raw machine (it still has electric windows/mirrors etc) it should perhaps not have been offered as an option. What did everyone used to do when hot - open a window.
I say this but did buy one with A/c but rarely use it. It grates with me that there is a loss of power if you use it :hahaha:. In short I bought one with A/c as it is 'expected' on resale.

On summer track days with extended lappage solutions it can get very hot inside the car and most sweaty (I don't sweat easily wither) nice to have air con for the cooldown laps. Also if driving to the HungaroRing in summer then AC essential (Ok the Nurburgring too). It is also looked at for resale as Pip says.
Agree though that the pure CSL is the optionless one, often referred to as poverty spec.

Very good Shimmy (aka xenophobic, racist, narrow minded car snob) :hahaha: . I am surprised anyone can get away with those sorts of comments these days what with western Europe having gone mad with human rights and health and safety.
Is it just me that goes up 10ft ladders without a harness and helmet (oh and my neighbour but then he also over extends himself whilst up there )?
Pip
Ps Let them burn :hahaha:
