i know nothing about engines and engine numbers except they should match the log book!:thumbs:

Give me the chassis code and I can tell you everything you need to know about the build - I know someone with official BMW ISIS access ability and he can bring up EVERYTHING about a particular car.

I have a friend in a Scotland Main Dealer who also does this for me, he's checked both my M3's out for all their warranty work and also checked an Imported M3 Cab out for a mate a while back ;) :thumbs:

been looking for a couple of weeks and 36 CSLs for sale, of which i know 3x CatDs, 1x CatC, i fire damaged, 1 smashed up repaired (at least), i clocked

What I need to know is where the chassis stamp is on the car and where on the engine is the number ????

VIN is in the windscreen, I think! Lol

Chassis stamp would be on the driver side strut tower, engine stamp on the engine :whistle:
