Costco have had a new batch of the aluminum racing jacks (Birmingham Branch) which I know a few of you have been after.

They tend to be like hens teeth to find, so let me know if anyone wants one (already getting one for Karbon Kid this week).

Also, for any of you planning Top Gear style Ring Trip conveys, they've got some rather high quality 2-Way digital radios. I use Motorola for work and these ain't far off for a fraction of the price with a range of 5 miles and work hands-free (using ear phone and mic to detect speech). Bought some to try and so far am impressed for 40 quid for a pair, including ABS case!!

At the moment, one is in the Kitchen to send commands to the wife to get more beer from the fridge. :smokin:

:hahaha: :hahaha: Spot on!

Those jacks are great quality, I've used one for a year or two now, very good, has gone under all the low cars I've had and easily handles 2 tonnes, recommended from me

Picked up one of these today from the Reading Costco . It's an absolute mother compared to the Halfords one I was using before ! Now just looking for an excuse to jack the car up.

Nice one Shimmy,

Just bought Karbon Kid two of the jacks and I just bought yet another set of radios for pals.

I've been away touring with work this last week with 4 of them, and am more than impressed with the range which is about 5 miles. Battery life is decent too!

Mind you, I can see 10 or so CSL owners in convoy being fooking chaos with them :hahaha::hahaha::supz:

They are a good idea rather than have to pick up a mobile every two minutes!

I've read that before too - doesn't seem to have great reliability...

The seals tend to blow if you leave the car raised for too long and nuts and bolts come loose iirc

I've always worked on the basis you get what you pay for in life, but even my local independent use these £100 quid jacks (and had less issues with them) compared to the 400 quid variety they've previously used.
