Oh, sorry. Yes, it was me driving. Been at the ring sathurday-wedensday testing the upcoming supercharger kit for ESS. Saw some csl's there, maybe someone from this forum?

What is your opinion on the new ESS supercharger kit ?
I'm thinking of putting a supercharger on the track CSL .

I think it's a great kit! The power and torque is night and day compared to stock. I only have the regular M3, but i could only imagine how fast a csl with the upcoming VT2 550 supercharger kit would be. That sounded like a bad comercial didn't it? :smt078

Pointless putting one on a CSL

M3 is the ideal mule for it.

I'd love to track one someday to see how the delivery works

Wasn't there a member of this forum who had a ess kit on his csl some time ago? Maybe he could chime in on how it performed on track compared to stock?

To make a fast track car even faster? but yes, I see your point ;)

Because they arn't the fastest thing in a straight line?

Edit to say that I know CSL is meant to be all about the handling but some like 'a little' more power! lol :)

I think it'd be a shame to lose the induction noise of a CSL to fit a supercharger.

As has been said, get a normal (much cheaper) M3 and stick it on that.

All you've then got to do is a little bit of weight saving and you'll have basically the same car anyway, but without ruining a CSL.

(Assuming brakes, suspension and wheels etc. are upgraded on both anyway)

Yeah. I agree with you, but if you have enough money to have a track csl and want to make it even faster i think supercharging is fair enough. The induction sound is great but this isn't to bad either..;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qju9iEFqp3Y
