A friend was asking me if I was going to sell my car (not planned, will keep as a good investment...) and it got me thinking, all these UK cars that have gone to Germany, France and in my case Italy, when the present owner try and sell them back in the UK, what will they be worth in comparison to a UK all its life car?

I wouldn't say it would effect value at all. As long as service history is kept up and it's looked after what's the difference? The only real implication is going off the UK V5 and MOT system. That may effect mileage history checks but there's no cast iron guarantee's on UK cars either.
